  • The Role
    Are you seeking an opportunity to support and enable Defence Intelligence Mission and shape the future of Defence Intelligence Group's (DIG) estate and infrastructure portfolio? One ACT based APS6 Project Manager vacancy is available.

    As the DIG Estate project manager you will:

  • Use experience to apply project management methodologies to administrative and technical activities.
  • Analyse capital investment proposals for estate and infrastructure across DIG and oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects.
  • Provide advice and recommendations on the effective use of the DIG estate in accordance with capability requirements and Defence strategic estate planning initiatives.

    Effective estate and infrastructure is critical for the Defence Intelligence Group (DIG) to be able to enable its people to deliver Defence capability. The DIG Estate Planning & Property (EPP) directorate performs the critical interface function between the DIG business units and the Security and Estate Group (SEG) for all property matters.

    Our Ideal Candidate
    DIG is seeking an experienced and motivated project manager to join the Estate Planning & Property directorate located in Canberra (Bendigo and Wollongong by negotiation) to deliver Estate and infrastructure projects in co-ordination with multiple stakeholder across Defence and the National Intelligence Community.

    To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be experienced and proficient in project management methodology
  • Be results focused with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate ability to elicit requirements and develop solutions to meet agreed outcomes
  • Have strong written and oral communication including demonstrate interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude to relationship building with relevant stakeholders
  • Be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable
  • Possess well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
