    We are seeking a motivated and engaging Supervisor Plant Maintenance to join our team at Hope Downs 4 to lead our site-based to lead a team of maintainers providing maintenance to fixed plant assets. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to draw on your people leadership skills, coupled with your technical knowledge to effectively coordinate execution of work.

    Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant and working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will:

    • Managing scheduled daily maintenance and shutdown maintenance with a high performing team of tradespersons.
    • Supporting, coaching and mentoring a team to ensure optimal delivery against performance and safety targets
    • Building and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders to align on operational plans and strategies
    • Driving effective cost management initiatives by identifying & implementing cost-saving opportunities
    • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, supporting the team in the implement initiatives
    • Championing continuous improvement by identifying and implementing changes to optimise work practices and provide technical solutions to improve plant performance

    What you'll bring

    • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
    • Confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members
    • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage and Curiosity) and behaviours
    • Demonstrated capability in effective communication, feedback and collaboration with others.
    • Relevant trade qualification or engineering degree (electrical/mechanical)
    • Experience working in fixed plant operations, maintenance or similar
    • Statutory Position Legal Exam – Statutory Supervisor
    • A Current Western Australian 'C 'Class Driver's Licence (Manual)

    Located 50km north-west of Newman, Hope Downs 4 offers an 8/6 roster and is a joint venture managed and operated by Rio Tinto, working in conjunction with nearby site Hope Downs 1. Hope Downs 4 provides excellent career growth and opportunities, and the village provides excellent facilities for its FIFO workers.

    This role will operate on a Fly in; Fly out 8 days on, 6 days off – day shift only roster.
