- Provide support and clear communication to clients throughout the claims process.
- Adjust high-level claims, making fair decisions on coverage and settlements.
- Collaborate with experts such as contractors, adjusters, and lawyers to ensure claims are handled efficiently and accurately.
- Investigate claims thoroughly, bringing in the right people and resources as needed.
- Maintain organization, document all activities, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Offer coaching and support to team members and participate in the company's catastrophe plan as required.
- 6+ years of insurance adjusting experience, including strong knowledge of commercial lines policy wordings.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering results for clients.
- In-depth knowledge of policy coverages, property estimating software (Xactware is an asset), and medical terminology.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances.
