    Casualty Claims Specialist

    Location: Dartmouth, Moncton

    Job Summary

    This role involves handling complex auto and property claims with care, empathy, and efficiency. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional service, guide clients through the claims process, and ensure timely resolutions.

    About the Role

    • Provide support and clear communication to clients throughout the claims process.
    • Adjust high-level claims, making fair decisions on coverage and settlements.
    • Collaborate with experts such as contractors, adjusters, and lawyers to ensure claims are handled efficiently and accurately.
    • Investigate claims thoroughly, bringing in the right people and resources as needed.
    • Maintain organization, document all activities, and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
    • Offer coaching and support to team members and participate in the company's catastrophe plan as required.

    Requirements

    • 6+ years of insurance adjusting experience, including strong knowledge of commercial lines policy wordings.
    • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering results for clients.
    • In-depth knowledge of policy coverages, property estimating software (Xactware is an asset), and medical terminology.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing circumstances.
