- $35 p/h to $45 p/h +20% loading for afternoon shift
- Repair, replace, maintain and diagnose a high volume of all company vehicles including prime movers, rigids and trailers
- Completing repairs and work in a safe and efficient manner
- Servicing vehicles in line with our company service schedule
- Assisting with major repairs such as rebuilds, midlife's, brake / bearing overhauls
- Accurate completion of all documentation associated with fleet maintenance and repairs
- Attending to breakdowns when required on a weekly roster
- Trade qualification (AQF certificate) relating to heavy commercial vehicle mechanics or in a related diesel mechanics fields
- Proven competence in repairs and overhauls
- Experience working on prime movers or heavy vehicle trailers is highly valued
- Effective diagnostic skills on Kenworth, Daf, Cummins, BPW
- Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided and tool allowance paid)
- Basic computer skills
- Clear and concise communication skills
- Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic

Lindsay Transport specialises in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres. We operate a network of freight terminals with significant cold-room facilities across the east coast of Australia and employ a staff of approximately 1600 workers.
About the Role:
Our Brisbane team is currently seeking 2 x Diesel Mechanics to join the team on either a casual or permanent basis for day and afternoon shift.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading first class transportation company and play a key part in assisting hundreds of Australian businesses every day to meet their logistics and transportation needs.
