    About the Position

    The Support Officer position within the City Events team provides the first point of contact to customers wishing to hold activities in the City's public realm. The role is responsible for the provision of written and verbal advice and information to customers and stakeholders through exemplary standards of courteous and efficient service.

    Reporting to the Coordinator Activity Approvals, this position will support the City by:

  • Assessing and processing applications for banner hire, flyer distribution, outdoor dining, and other applications from time to time.
  • Maintaining and updating information systems, databases, and documents to ensure data integrity and record-keeping standards are maintained.
  • Assisting with a wide range of office-based duties such as managing generic inboxes, answering telephone enquiries, minute taking, and scheduling meetings.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in providing administrative support using a range of office technologies within a dynamic environment, along with experience in providing a high degree of customer service.

    You will have demonstrated time management skills including the ability to meet deadlines and allocated resources to achieve goals and objectives.
