    Description

    your responsibilities will include:

    This position is responsible for all aspects of admission/discharges of patients at the main switchboard at the front reception the hospital including:

    ·Admission/Discharge of patients

    ·Ensure the admission details of patients are entered onto Webpas Patient management system correctly

    ·Contact health funds to obtain details of private health membership – confirming financial status, checking patients are covered for the procedure, seeing if excess/co-payments need to be paid

    ·Liaise with bookings clerks relating to preadmission process

    ·Follow up details of after-hours admissions entering details, processing identification and financial forms

    ·Admitting and discharging patients and collecting and receipting monies

    ·Conduct follow up requests as needed

    ·Switchboard operation

    ·Efficiently answer and redirect the main hospital switchboard

    ·Efficiently answer queries from the public, visitors, suppliers, doctors, staff and patients.

    ·Reception duties

    ·Monitor the flow of visitors throughout the foyer of the hospital

    ·Meet, greet and direct visitors/contractors to specialist or patient's rooms

    ·Display exemplary professional customer service at all times

    Selection Criteria:

    ·Customer service skills

    ·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    ·Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment

    ·Strong attention to detail

    ·Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)

    ·Works well independently and within a team

    ·Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work

    ·WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
