    We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Taxation and Revenue team. This is an opportunity to further build on your career by working with a collaborative and client focussed team known for managing complexity with outcomes focused on the needs of our clients. You will enjoy being involved in managing optimal outcomes for clients and developing quality relationships with them over time.

    About You
    As an experienced paralegal, this role will involve:

    • Research and analyse legal issues as requested to support the provision of legal advice.
    • Assist practitioners with tasks related to litigation including:
      • Managing the discovery phase of a case, including assistance in interviewing clients, undertaking research and investigating precedents.
      • Drafting legal, court or tribunal documents, including briefs, statements of fact and contentions, document summaries and checklists.
      • Organising and managing files, paperwork, data, documents and evidence.
      • Filing documents with the courts.
      • Providing administrative support behind the scenes at hearings.
      • Arranging mediation between parties that are in dispute.
    • Drafting, preparing and proofreading legal documents
    • Develop and maintain current knowledge in relation to the taxation practice area.
    • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team by promoting consistency, rigour and knowledge transfer.
    • End of month billing and general communications with our accounts team.
    • Liaising with internal staff members and clients.
    • Ad hoc administrative duties including archiving and scanning of documents.

    To be successful in this role you will have excellent attention to detail along with a high level of initiative to support our senior tax practitioners. You will be a team player, highly organised with proficiency in a range of technology solutions including MS Office products, DMS, Aderant and dictation.
