    Our client, a Global Oil & Gas EPC in Western Australia are looking to recruit 2 x Senior Project Engineers on a 12 month contract for a Major Brownfield Project

    Position Purpose:

    The successful candidate will complete project engineering or package engineering tasks to ensure projects are executed within HSE, quality, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.

    Provides project leadership and guidance, and assists, trains, and supervises the work performed by assigned engineers

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Identify and be responsible for project engineering tasks as required by assigned multi-discipline projects and tenders, in conjunction with the Project Engineering Manager / Project Manager as applicable
    • Complete project start-up and close out activities – preparation of project execution plan, CTRs, schedule, risk register, document responsibility and approval matrices, lessons learnt, close out reports, etc
    • Be responsible for scope definition, schedule, and budget documentation
    • Be responsible for conducting project and multidisciplinary activities.
    It's expected a Senior Project Engineer can manage large and complex scopes of work, including multicenter execution if required.

    • Monitor and update the project schedule, ensuring critical activities are expedited and those accountable for performing the activities are aware of the requirements and have all necessary inputs to deliver their scope according the schedule.
    • Advise Project Manager / Principal Engineer on resource requirements
    • Set up, drive and implement change management processes to assist with controlled project execution
    • Manage multi-discipline teams for assigned work scope
    • Comply with corporate standards, client requirements, legislation and industry standards
    • Deliver high quality, safe and environmentally responsible engineering and project solutions
    • Promote safety as a core value and assist the project manager with achieving safety performance in line with objectives set.
    • Participate in the identification and control of work scope risks and opportunities
    • Originate review and approve project deliverables
    • To contribute to tenders in such a way that the requirements are met in terms of quality and schedule for deliverables
    • To assist and supervise the work performed by assigned Engineer(s) / Designers
    • Coordinate the procurement of permanent and/or temporary materials and equipment
    • Participate in formal and informal reporting to the assigned Project Engineering Manager / Project Manager and Project Engineering Discipline Leader on progress of engineering tasks and key issues
    • Manage engineering performed by engineering consultants and suppliers
    • Lead field engineering support to deliver fabrication and construction activities
    • Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to manage and resolve technical issues
    • Assist Project Engineering Discipline Manager in the identification and development of DisciplineEngineering Technical Notes and Guidelines
    • Provide training, guidance and mentoring to the assigned Project Engineers
    • Show respect for subordinates and co-workers
    • Demonstrate a commitment to self- improvement and development of the project team
    • Supervise standard discipline engineering performed by Engineering Consultants / Suppliers to meet project.
    • Attend meetings with Clients, Suppliers and / or Consultants to assist on technical issues relating to relevant discipline engineering
    As required by tenders, prepare appropriate contentQualifications & Experience:

    • Engineering Degree which is recognized by the Institute of Engineers Australia
