    Description

    Overview:

    Emanate Technology is working with a Federal Government client in their search for UAT Tester. This pivotal role revolves around User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Business Verification Testing (BVT) integral to Production releases.

    The UAT Tester role will be essential in the client's major work programs, ensuring the delivery of innovative, tailored ICT solutions that align with business objectives. System changes will adhere to either a waterfall or agile approach, determined by the project's requirements.
    Key Requirements:

    • Draft business requirements and future state processes to develop test scripts for system changes.
    • Conduct functional testing and Business Verification testing.
    • Communicate and collaborate with business areas to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
    • Attend workshops, as necessary.
    • Assign test scripts, oversee test execution, and document results in the test summary report.
    • Coordinate re-tests of system defects.
    • Provide test support to project managers.
    • Troubleshoot business issues to confirm system behaviour aligns with expectations.
    • Create test scripts and scenarios.
    • Define and generate required test data.
    • Document test outcomes.
    • Record defects in ALM.
    • Generate test summary reports for system releases.
    • Baseline Clearance or Australian Citizens eligible to obtain Baseline clearance.


    Experience required:

    • Ability to grasp business requirements and future state processes for developing test scripts.
    • Experience in functional testing within UAT and BVT frameworks.
    • Capable of liaising with business areas to ensure adequate test coverage based on functional requirements.
    • Ability to craft structured test scenarios and scripts.
    • Familiarity with Test Life Cycle Methodology.
    • Competence in managing defects through ALM.


    Desirable Qualifications:

    • Experience in testing Salesforce and MuleSoft-based solutions.
    • Passion for enhancing quality through testing and automation.
    • Strong communication skills and analytical mindset.
    • Openness to novel approaches to accessibility and a keen interest in accessible design & development.
