    About the Role

    The Director, Planning Environment & Place is responsible for providing expert project-wide leadership and strategic direction for all Planning and Environment, Urban Design, and Sustainability matters.

    This role involves leading the strategic approach, overseeing the development, implementation, and assurance of the Planning Environment and Place functions for the Level Crossing Removal Project.

    You will develop strong relationships across VIDA and with relevant regulators and stakeholders, exercising excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to pre-empt and mitigate project risks in relation to all Planning Environment and Place matters.

    This is a 3-year fixed term position, offering a total remuneration package between $279,239 - $401,017.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you should have impeccable time management skills, be agile and adaptable to an ever-changing landscape of works, and possess expertise in Victorian and Commonwealth legislation, approvals processes, and compliance procedures.

    You should also have experience in leading large, high-performing teams, demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement, and provide sound advice on complex technical matters.

    A relevant qualification in a Planning related discipline is mandatory.
