    Job Description:

    About the Role

    Centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes. A great opportunity to increase your skills in a leadership capacity. You will provide a high standard of leadership, clinical support, and supervision to clinical staff based within the Continuing Care Team at either Hawthorn or Clarendon Clinic.

    You will join a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.

    • Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice providing supervision and leadership to clinical staff
    • Provide operational oversight of two key clinical teams within St Vincent's Mental Health (CHOPS & CMST), and develop processes that improve the delivery of clinical care to consumers and their families/carers
    • Oversee budget delivery, and mange human resources within your teams, as well as oversee capital works and building maintenance within the clinic.

    The classification for this position will be YC92 with an additional over award (total salary approximately $134k per annum pro rata)

    Your Contribution

    • Current registration with AHPRA (if relevant)
    • A minimum of 10 years post qualification clinical experience
    • Extensive experience in the provision of assessment, discipline specific intervention and case management services for consumers experiencing early psychosis, as well as providing appropriate support for their carers and families within a recovery framework
    • Experience in providing clinical supervision and leadership to other mental health staff
    • Experience in change management and leading process and system implementation within a team
    • Experience in conflict and performance management, and working with key stakeholder to meet key performance indicators
    • A comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the Mental Health & Well Being Act 2022 (including amendments) and other relevant legislation
    • Current Victorian driver's license
    • Current National Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain

    About the Mental Health Team

    St. Vincent's Mental Health (SVMH) includes an adult area mental health service for the inner city areas of Yarra and Boroondara.

    The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of clients who suffer with a serious mental illness and are homeless, or at risk of homelessness in the Cities of Yarra and Boroondara. The multidisciplinary team provides a range of clinical and therapeutic interventions using the recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.

    The Clarendon Mobile Support Team provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified needs of clients who suffer with a serious mental illness and associated high level of disability in the City of Yarra. The multidisciplinary team provides a range of clinical and therapeutic interventions using the recovery-focused Strengths Model of Recovery-Oriented Practice.
