    Company Description

    Our client is a leader in medical academic publishing and is experiencing a period of sustained growth. They are looking to add to the Finance Division of the business and require an experienced Finance Officer to take the organisation through an exciting transformation period and beyond.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time hybrid role for a Finance Officer located in Melbourne, VIC. The Finance Officer plays a vital role in supporting the overall establishment of finance processes and that all financial transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner, with emphasis on doing all financial processing duties. This role also works alongside the Senior Accounts Administrator in ensuring all accounts payable and receivable transactions are processed accordingly and provide back up support as required, as well as other financial roles as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with Xero accounting software and financial management systems
    • Ability to manage and process financial operations of the company
    • Experience of AR/AP/Payroll and business activity statements
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with other team members and senior managers
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
    • CPA/CA qualification or equivalent experience
    • The role requires the person to be an Australian Citizen
