    What you'll do:

    Leading an experienced processing team of 4 people, our Processing Manager plays a pivotal role to ensure the team achieves optimal carcass management at our primary and secondary processing facilities. With a customer-centric approach that focuses on animal welfare, sustainability and responsible supply chains, this role will develop, implement and drive the processing strategy to ensure high levels of efficiency, productivity, yield standards and product quality.

    Using a strategic lens the Processing Manager will develop and execute the governance strategy, managing processing partners to ensure compliance is achieved and sustainable long-term relationships developed with third party suppliers.

    This role will also see you:

    Lead, develop and coach a high performing team of processing specialists

    Collaboratively partner across the Greenstock and broader Woolworths ecosystem to create a culture of continuous improvement

    Work with third party suppliers to optimise site performance and achieve processing metrics.

    Work with a range of stakeholders internally and externally across our multi-channels including lamb, pork and beef processing partners throughout Australia, foodservices, retail, international and wholesale customers and secondary manufacturing.

    Develop, design and implement new beef, pork and lamb models to support new business initiatives across all channels

    Use data and insights to drive recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives

    What you'll bring:

    You have a deep technical understanding of the meat industry gained through experience in production or manufacturing, having had success in building and fostering strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across multiple channels. You bring a proactive and innovative lens to problem solving, looking at things from a different perspective to provide considered recommendations through thought leadership. You're a purpose driven leader who has a track record of leading, coaching and developing high performing teams.

    Ideally you will also:

    Have strong operational leadership and strategic experience gained from a similar environment

    Demonstrate primary processing operations experience, with a track record driving efficiency with best practice and results across multi-plant operations

    Experience within a food manufacturing/meat processing environment

    Strong working knowledge and understanding of FSQA

    Experience managing complex SKUs

    Be commercially astute, with a strong awareness of the opportunities and challenges of running a primary processing business.
