- Targeting large to multinational companies across APAC within predefined weather affected sectors to promote DTN's weather information services and solutions.
- Developing and maintaining new accounts and existing customer relationships with a view to leverage for new sales and upsell opportunities.
- Using a consultative sales approach to understand the needs of the prospect or customer to demonstrate the value of the DTN products, insights, and services.
- Engaging communication with active listening and problem solving for customers to understand their unmet needs and how DTN solutions may be of benefit and serve those needs.
- Managing a pipeline of new business as well as increase spend on existing customers.
- Visiting prospective clients and existing customers as needed, frequent domestic travel (monthly) and occasional international travel will be required.
- Customer responsiveness and service focus.
- As part of a performance-based team, the Senior Direct Sales Representative will be required to meet or exceed sales plan.
- 5+ years of sales and territory management experience.
- Software and Information as a Service sales experience is a plus.
- Must be assertive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
- Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solutions selling.
- Self-starter with proven track record of delivering sales results.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment and handle multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience and demonstrated success selling into APAC is a bonus.

:An opportunity to work within our Australian based sales team with remit for sales across the country and into APAC. This position's core function is on weather sales, but also includes some business development across the DTN product suite in Agriculture and Refined Fuels. You will also work closely with existing sales team and build on their experience.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between 100,000 AUD and 125,000 AUD. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
