The Commercial Business Partner - Distribution is responsible for driving development and execution of financial and analytical elements of strategies within the Sales & Distribution team. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Strategy and Delivery, this role will work across all a range of strategic workstreams owning financial modelling, forecasting, commercial analytics, business case development and risk assessments. You will seek input and work closely with key stakeholders from across the business including Sales and Distribution, Finance, Digital, IT and Revenue Management teams to drive internal alignment and successful delivery of these strategies. This role will be the key point of contact for these projects for internal stakeholders in Finance and other shared service divisions of Qantas Airlines.

You'll have:

• Curious and strategic thinker, with a demonstrated ability to solve problems and cut through complexity
• Strong commercial intuition with a well-developed understanding of strategic, financial, technological and business issues.
• Team player, open to challenge and debate
• Ability to develop end to end business cases including financial modelling
• Strong computer literacy skills including Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent presentation and data analysis skills
• Ability to tell a story with data and ensure understanding with all stakeholders
• A high level of consultation, negotiation and interpersonal skills used to consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders and drive a shared outcome
• Strong ability to challenge, guide and advise non-financial stakeholder groups and the confidence to do so, along the well-developed knowledge and skills.
• Highly self-motivated with ability to be across both the details and broader perspective of an overarching business area strategy.
• Drives to exceed goals.
