    Description

    Job Summary

    Bupa is seeking a Lead Data Modeller to drive better practice through the creation, education, and facilitation of our Data and Integration Engineering teams and Analysts. The successful candidate will understand core business concepts, help solve for how we leverage data and interoperability to solve business problems, and create an environment where data modelling is a value multiplier in how we deliver now and in the future.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with the business to understand their needs and translate them into data models
    • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
    • Work with Engineers to implement data models, build data flows, and develop conceptual data models
    • Establish and maintain a clear, enabling conceptual model that meets multiple business units' needs
    • Shape and drive the implementation of our Guardrails-based Governance model

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have:

    • Proven experience in developing/delivering complex data structures, including the development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models
    • Deep technical experience in data management roles related to Data Warehousing, Analytics, and/or Business Intelligence
    • Experience with modern data demands such as AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Customer 360, Digital
    • Experience in a range of Database Management Systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, Synapse
    • Previous experience supporting complex programs of work in the data infrastructure space
    • Demonstrated use of contemporary best practice with regards to industry standard ETL frameworks, approaches, technologies, and data modelling tools
