    Data Architect - Defence Program (6-month contract)

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a Data Architect to join one of our clients for on a 6 month contract. They are supporting a program which aims to deliver and sustain an enterprise Health Knowledge Management System. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and building the underlying data pipelines, synchronisation, and infrastructure in containerized environments that can operate across security and organizational boundaries. This role involves working closely with Federal Government, providing architecture leadership and subject matter expertise to client engagements, focusing on meeting customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases, and data warehouses.
    • Analyse, plan, and define the data architecture framework, covering security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure the smooth functioning of the enterprise data system.
    • Set architectural direction, build consensus, and mediate conflicts, providing technical leadership and advisory services to the customer and the program team.
    • Ensure architectural deliverables meet schedules and estimates.
    • Anticipate project issues and risks, and work with program managers to implement solutions or mitigations.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer on all technical architecture matters.
    • Develop and maintain models of current and future architectures within defined solutions.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive professional experience in senior engineering or architecture roles within an ICT engineering or project environment, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Demonstrated leadership in complex organisations.
    • Proven experience in delivering IT solutions, particularly in End User Computing and Digital workplace services, with a track record of success.
    • Excellent knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems, and enterprise architecture, as well as software and infrastructure engineering.
    • Experience in Federal or State Government or Healthcare environments would be highly advantageous.
    • For this position it requires an AGSVA Security clearance of an NV1 and ITAR compliance.
