    Hastings Deering is offering a new opportunity for a Maintenance Planner to join our team. Due to the location of the sites that this role will support, we are ideally looking for a candidate to be based in our Rockhampton or Townsville branches on a permanent, fulltime basis.

    The successful incumbent will manage and coordinate upcoming planned work, support planned component replacement and ensure a future focus in maintaining reliability and availability targets at Carmichael Mine.

    The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

    • Support the customer in planning of scheduled maintenance on all machines and equipment assigned to the role
    • Responsible for the creation of all parts lists and resource allocation for PCR work.
    • Regular review of the defect list and planning the repairs of these defects at the optimal time
    • Management and tracking of all planning requirements for service letters, defect sheets, SOS actions, parts and resource requirements
    • Process control management and site-based development of processes; work order process, warranty handling process, warranty parts return and control
    • Attending and providing input to the weekly planning meetings
    • The attendance of all related Tool Box & Safety meetings
    • Responsible for maintaining up to date and accurate bills of material associated to planned events
    • Responsible for maintaining job packaging for work order management associated to planned events
    • Will be required to support both the Customer and Maintenance Reliability roles when either are absent from site

    About You

    A successful candidate will have experience in:

    • Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitting) or related discipline
    • Minimum of five years' post trade experience with working Caterpillar Production Systems
    • Minimum two years' experience supervising a team in providing technical solutions
    • Regular travel is required in this role, so flexibility is essential.
