    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Practice Manager to join our Bupa Health Centres team

    Based in the inner east of Melbourne, this is a permanent position, and we are open to this role being either full time or part time

    As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operation of a Bupa Health Centre. You will be responsible for the administrative, operational, financial, clinical quality and safety aspects of the Centre and ensuring we are offering our customers an exceptional customer experience, outstanding client outcomes and the highest level of clinical safety and quality.

    What will your day look like:

    • Oversee the day-to-day operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and allocation of resources to ensure the smooth functioning of the Centre.
    • Lead, recruit and train a team of administrative and clinical staff You will foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff.
    • Maintain billing procedures and ensure accurate coding and billing practices and monitor accounts receivable and payable, working to improve financial performance.
    • Develop the practice budget, including revenue, expenses, and financial reporting and review and monitor the financial performance (P&L) of the practice in line with approved annual budget.
    • Manage patient feedback, complaints, and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
    • Ensure patient satisfaction and retention and implement strategies to improve the patient experience.
    • Oversee the maintenance of electronic health records (EHR) systems and other technological infrastructure.
    • Ensure the practice complies with healthcare regulations, clinical safety and quality initiatives and privacy laws.
    • Keep updated with changes in healthcare policies and regulations and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.
    • Support in identifying opportunities for growth, expansion, or improvement and provide input into developing plans to achieve them.

    You may also carry out any other duties reasonably requested by Bupa from time to time.

    What do I need?

    • Strong leadership skills and previous experience as a Practice Manager with primary health care.
    • Business management skills including the responsibility of managing the profit and loss outcomes of a small-medium size practice or health service.
    • Demonstrated commitment to, and practice of, leadership driven culture and building collaborative working environments.
    • Proven ability to set clearly defined objectives and measures to drive business outcomes, with a focus on customer experience.
    • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in using healthcare management software and technology.
    • A degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field is often preferred.
