    The Role

    The Northern and Central Zone (NCZ) intends to fill a current vacancy for an APS 5 Base Support Officer (BSO) position at Oakey, QLD. The ideal individual will demonstrate experience in service delivery, customer centricity, and administrative functions. You will be joining a high performing team where you will solve problems and provide services delivery with an engaging can-do approach whilst demonstrating a solutions focus through excellence in customer service.

    There are two positions available to be filled. This role will suit, if you:

    • Have the ability to anticipate, plan and coordinate base services, facilities maintenance, asset improvement and integration of products and services;

    Duties Include:

    • Accountable to assist with the development and planning of assigned activities of estate management and maintenance programs;
    • Develop plans and programs for work health safety (WHS), security and emergency management;
    • Explain corporate services, infrastructure requirements and processes to ensure operational needs are met;
    • Build and sustain effective relationships with team members and actively participate in team work and group activities;
    • Liaise with stakeholders in relation to base management issues; and
    • Interpret and comply with policy, regulations, guidelines, instructions and procedures in relation to base management and estate planning and development.

    About our Team

    Base Management teams in the NCZ are a part of Service Delivery Division. They provide essential, on the ground services and support to Defence personnel around Australia.

    These services could include: estate and building maintenance; project delivery support; land, environment and heritage management; accommodation and housing; transport; waste management; hospitality and catering; cleaning; sport and recreation; safety, security and emergency management.
