  • About the Opportunity An opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced individual to join the Finance and Governance Team as Finance and Payroll Support Officer Working with the Finance and Payroll Supervisor, the role is responsible for providing support of finance functions that contributes to the effective delivery of the City of Palmerston Community Plan that include;
  • Maintaining the integrity of Council's financial information specifically related to accounts payable and payroll with a view of continuous improvement.
  • Providing accurate, detailed and quality administration and accounts payable and payroll functions across council's systems which complies with legislation.
  • Ensuring statutory obligations are compiled within a timely manner.
  • Providing financial administrative assistance and training within the council and broader organisation.
  • About You You will ideally have appropriate tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other relevant discipline which may be required through a Cert III or relevant experience with a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development, a minimum of 1 year experience in Accounts Payable and Payroll operations, an ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines within a dynamic environment and a customer centric focused results.
