    About the role...

    Working as part of a small team, the Payroll Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end processing of payroll for approximately 400 staff members within our BPO business unit. The role will require you to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. This is the ideal role for a self-starter, a problem solver and someone who has impeccable attention to detail.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a flexible, multi-functional team environment
    • Ability to exercise initiative and judgment when problem solving
    • Strong numeracy skills, and attention to detail
    • Experience in processing large volumes of work while maintaining a high level of accuracy and service
    • Intermediate to Advance MS Excel skills required for data analysing and reporting
    • You're able to consistently meet tight deadlines, prioritise, and work under pressure
    • Able to work autonomously and take initiative
    • Background in accounting preferred but not mandatory
    • Sound working knowledge of ADP payroll system or similar preferred.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience working in a similar role is highly regarded
    • You have sound general working knowledge and application of core Payroll processing functions and legislative requirements (e.g. Application of Superannuation, PAYG, Overtime, Loadings, ATO reporting etc..)
    • Proven experience working with Excel with a strong knowledge of formulas (e.g. vlookup, pivot tables essential)
    • Experience working with Enterprise Agreement, Awards, Legislation, and any other contractual obligations
    • Clear, open, honest verbal and written communication as well as good interpersonal skills
