    The role is responsible for delivering corporate governance services, including organisational planning and performance reporting, governance framework and policy development, risk management and complaints reporting, and providing support to parliamentary estimates committee hearings.

    • Coordinate requests for information and consolidate reporting updates across the department.
    • Provide high level analysis on a range of planning, performance and other reporting matters.
    • Ensure government issued standards are met in the preparation of departmental plans and performance reporting.
    • Manage multiple deadlines concurrently and seek out proactive opportunities to prepare planning and reporting materials ahead of time.
    • Contribute to external publications such as the department's annual report, strategic plan, service delivery statements and specific purpose plans.
    • Conduct periodic reviews of corporate governance policies, including coordinating and assessing feedback.
    • Work productively with clients to strengthen corporate governance capability across DJAG.

    Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability

    • ability to rapidly develop detailed knowledge of corporate governance process, workflows and practices.
    • works on multiple projects simultaneously and adjusts priorities quickly as circumstances dictate,
    • demonstrated highly developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write reports, briefs and policies
    • ability to navigate ambiguity, lead and influence change, and deliver outcomes including when faced with resistance and setbacks
    • establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with team and internal and external stakeholders that achieve positive outcomes
    • contributes to workplace equity, diversity and inclusion that enriches our culture of respect and inclusion.
