The Technology Officer supports the delivery of information technology providing technical assistance tailored guidance and innovative solutions Collaborating with diverse stakeholders the incumbent ensures seamless technology adoption conducts user training and delivers responsive timely IT support The purpose of this role is to provide first and second level technical infrastructure support assist staff in the area of Microsoft Windows Microsoft Office resolve technical problems reported through the incident management system The role also expected to answer Service Desk calls emails register incidents attend their resolution or escalate were appropriate assist with ICT asset registration tracking install commission new laptop hardware printers peripherals including desktop mobile telephony provide technical support for end user technology including desktop laptop mobile remote access print/scan/copy audio video teleconferencing standard software maintain user network access produce documentation for reports briefings correspondence technical user documentation Support both business locations Melbourne CBD Coburg remotely on site part regular rotation process In addition role expected perform one more following duties agreed minimum:
- 1st level Security Operations Centre security incident reporting escalations Project management routine ad-hoc VCAA projects such NAPLAN GAT VCE marking support end user hardware replacements Software license vendor management procurement activities low-medium complexity vendor relationships contracts Evaluation new technologies application VCAA low-medium complexity requirements development guidance materials newly adopted technologies
