    Financial Services (FS) partners with all areas of Comm Bank to provide specialist advice on financial management and strategy.

    This advice covers finance, audit, treasury, investor relations, property, procurement and security.

    The FS Line 1 Risk Oversight (FS L1 RO) team governs and supports the lines of business within Financial Services in achieving excellence in risk management and operating an effective control environment.

    FS L1 RO aims to achieve a demonstrable uplift in risk management and controls activities across Financial Services.

    This role reports directly to the Executive Manager Risk and Controls Line 1.

    Your role is to support the FS L1 RO team in driving strong governance and operational effectiveness of Finance owned policies, standards and procedures.

    In addition, you will support key projects and initiatives within the team, including reuniting shareholders with unclaimed dividends.

    This is a broad and dynamic role where the ability to engage a large and varied stakeholder group and translate policy into practice is a critical success factor On any given day you will: This role is wide reaching and not prescriptive in every sense.

    It includes, but is not limited, to the following:
    Development and update of policy documents and working with stakeholders to embed and implement these
    Monitoring the effectiveness of policy documents to ensure they are clear, fit for purpose and well operationalised
    Helping drive consistency in interpretation and operationalisation of policy
    Coordination and delivery of relevant training
    Providing ad hoc guidance and support for policy document users

    Contributing to the team's annual targets of returning unclaimed dividends to shareholders, including analysis and investigation of amounts as well as direct communications with shareholders.


    Your experience looks like:
    Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field e.g.
    Accounting, Finance and/or Business
    Strong Finance & Accounting experience within a Line 1 environment
    Self-driven, proactive and able to work independently
    Ability to navigate ambiguity and apply professional judgement
    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
    Ability to engage with and influence a broad range of senior stakeholders
