- Overseeing operations across our four dry cross dock warehouses across day and afternoon shifts.
- Leading the Logistics Team Leaders through clear goals and the daily operational plans, empowering them to equally lead their own teams.
- Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to the Logistics Team Leaders, to assist in their own leadership development.
- Participate in the strategic planning and management of the Dry Logistics Division, with a focus on safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and oversight to the Logistics Warehouse teams, to ensure agreed KPI's in Safety, Efficiency, Quality and customer service are communicated, and followed.
- Holding your team accountable through celebrating the wins, and investigating concerns.
- Employee management with a focus on future proofing the business and succession planning to developing the new leaders of tomorrow.
- Inventory control in line with agreed standards, evidenced through audited reports including Warehouse space utilisation
- Asset Management to maximise ROI.
- Responsible for site security
- Effective management of relationships both internally and externally. Desired Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in managing warehouse or cross-dock facilities, preferably in a FMCG environment.
- People management and leadership skills through experience in previous leadership positions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of organisational and time management skills
- Computer literacy including MS Office suite.
- Excellent understanding of warehousing systems such as WMS and SAP.
- Excellent Customer Management skills
- Analytical skills suitable for this position.
- Formal qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business management.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the logistics/warehouse/supply chain space.
