    In 2024 are you looking for a new challenge at ING, Australia's most recommended bank? We're looking for an IT Procurement Category Manager to join our Procurement Team and report directly into our Head of Procurement.

    You'll be accountable for delivering effective Procurement activities that continually improve ING's methods of purchasing and delivers ongoing value to ING. You'll have a strong understanding and knowledge of IT service providers and vendor marketplace, including outsourcing contracts and IT related contractual frameworks and practices.

    We're looking for someone with deep expertise in IT sourcing, including experience in procuring hardware, software, SaaS, professional services, telecom and other strategic IT solutions such as data center and cloud. You'll be successful by identifying opportunities with IT business stakeholders, and ways in which third parties can be used most effectively to support each individual business need.

    What you'll do

    • Act as the central communication point with vendors through all sourcing projects
    • Actively promote the roles and responsibilities of vendor relationships and the differences between operations and commercial impacts with internal vendor managers
    • Ensure compliance with ING's Policies and procedures
    • Assess all technology contracts to ascertain existing commercial value to ING: provide strategic advice and options to the CIO Leadership team on how to build more partnering relationship
    • Ensure all Technology vendors have a master agreement in place; close all gaps by initiating and completing missing master agreements
    • Facilitate the requisition and contract signoff process

    What are we looking for?

    • Demonstrated ability to perform the required tasks in past roles for 5+ years (minimum 2 years in IT)
    • Proven experience sourcing complex services and commercial negotiations
    • Full understanding of the Procurement cycle
    • Proven strategic category thinking and influencing
    • Full understanding of contractual agreements & commercial terms
    • Exposure to accounting and procurement systems i.e. PeopleSoft
    • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, negotiation and presentation skills
