Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor - Goulburn

The Opportunity

Reporting into the Site Manager, you will be accountable for managing and coordinating factory equipment, personnel, and operations to uphold safety standards and optimise efficiency in achieving production goals. Tasked with overseeing daily production tasks, scheduling, and addressing operational issues as they arise to ensure smooth and safe functioning of the factory team.

This position required you to work on an Afternoon shift 2pm to 10pm and over time when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure workplace safety by adhering to WHS&E standards, policies, and relevant legislation
• Support document control for WHS&E system
• Collaborate with management and production staff to enforce safety policies and procedures
• Report WHS&E incidents as per CSR policy
• Maintain a superior safety and housekeeping program
• Contribute to Emergency Planning Committee and response team
• Maintain a clean work environment and educate personnel on safety protocols
• Assist in organizing production and Toolbox meetings, ensuring documentation, and filing
• Communicate job expectations and assign personnel to meet production schedules
• Report shift results and escalate issues promptly
• Monitor production processes for quality and waste reduction
• Develop and maintain product and process control specifications
• Correct non-conformances promptly
• Ensure team organization meets manning requirements
• Plan training and development for team members
• Foster a positive culture aligned with CSR values
• Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
• Participate in cycle counts and stock takes
• Ensure production consumables availability
• Implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Meet cellular production targets and drive efficiencies
• Participate in O.E.E. initiatives for waste reduction
• Support maintenance works and troubleshooting
• Assist in improvement projects as directed

About you:

• Demonstrated progressive experience in a production or process technical role in a similar cellar process industry
• Previous experience & understanding of process/quality improvement practices
• Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets & use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access)
• Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools
• Previous experience/broad understanding of safety/environmental systems guidelines and policies
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and quality needs to meet customer needs
• Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability
• A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible
• Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment
• Highly motivated, results oriented, driven
