    Remuneration

    $139,305 - $213,086 p.a. pro rata which is inclusive of base salary, 11% superannuation and professional development allowance.

    Position Profile

    General Surgery is led by Mr David Koong, who oversees the medical activities of the department.

    • The position will entail attendance at daily operating lists for general, vascular and cardiothoracic surgery.
    • Surgical registrars are expected to complete daily ward rounds and perform admitting on call shifts on a one in ten basis.

    • By the completion of the year, service registrars would be competent with the clinical assessment and management of the acute surgical patient, have exposure to a wide range of surgical procedures and should be able to perform basic laparoscopic procedures.

    Your Essential Criteria

    • Eligible for Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
    • Evidence of good communication skills

    Desired Criteria

    • Passed GSSE part 1 or equivalent.

    Requirements

    • Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
    • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, which may include Covid-19.
