    Role Responsibilities:

    As a team leader, you excel in communication, driven by a passion for assisting others and exhibiting innate leadership qualities.

    • Customer service excellence: Setting high standards for customer service and ensuring that team members deliver personalised and professional assistance to patients, including frame selection, lens fitting, and adjustments.
    • Ensuring operational efficiency: Overseeing day-to-day operations of the practice, including appointment scheduling, inventory management, and workflow optimization.
    • Supervising and guiding team members: Providing direction, support, and mentorship to optical staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
    • Problem-solving and decision-making: Addressing challenges and resolving conflicts effectively, making informed decisions that prioritise patient satisfaction and staff morale.
    • Leadership and role modeling: Leading by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Optical expertise: A strong understanding of optical principles, including lens prescriptions, frame types, and lens materials. Cert. 4 completion is highly desirable.
    • Leadership: The ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members toward common goals, while also fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Communication: Clear and open communication is crucial for conveying expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating effective teamwork.
    • Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in all aspects of optical practice, from frame selection to lens fitting to patient records, requires a keen eye for detail.
    • Integrity: Maintaining high ethical standards and integrity in all interactions with patients, staff, and stakeholders builds trust and credibility.
