    Reporting to the Emergency Services Manager at Fortescue's Perth Office. You will be responsible for supporting Emergency Management across Fortescue (Domestic and International), by assisting with continual improvement, guidance, training and visible leadership.

    Reporting to the Emergency Services Manager at Fortescue's Perth Office. You will be responsible for supporting Emergency Management across Fortescue (Domestic and International), by assisting with continual improvement, guidance, training and visible leadership.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assist in the development or management of domestic and international emergency preparedness.
    • Coaching line leaders and management in all aspects of emergency response.
    • Writing and implementation of standards and procedures required to support Emergency Management at Fortescue.
    • Coordinate the continuous improvement and compliance of our Emergency Management Systems.
    • Conduct verification audits/inspections on Emergency Response at Fortescue sites.
    • Participate in identifying and controlling new hazards and ensure existing controls are being implemented effectively.
    • Accountable for management of relevant third-party contracts and associated relationships.
    • Ensure Incident Management (Level 1 and Level 2 Incidents) is operationally ready including platform and training.
    • Facilitate Emergency Incident Investigations and ensure industry practices are shared.
    • Provide data and guidance relevant to the effectiveness of Emergency Management.
    Qualifications and Experience
    • Demonstrated Leadership experience in Emergency Management
    • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
    • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health, Health, Safety, Hygiene or equivalent post graduate qualifications Degree/Diploma in Emergency Management or equivalent
    • Previous experience in the Mining or Construction industry or exposure to working on a Major Hazard Facility will be highly regarded
    • Auditing qualification (Lead Auditor) and an awareness of the WHS Act and Regulations
    • Prior and demonstrated experience in emergency management
    • Previous experience in incident control/incident management
    • Experience in documentation development
    • Strong analytical skills, data presentation and reporting skills
    • Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers License or equivalent
    • Experience in training (Specifically Emergency Response and Incident Management)
