About Sonic Healthcare Foundation
The Sonic Healthcare Foundation is a charitable organisation that funds medically based community projects, clinics, and hospitals.
These initiatives deliver essential healthcare solutions to underserved communities, with a strong emphasis on developing self-sustaining services over the medium to long term.
Our primary focus is supporting the establishment of sustainable laboratory medicine, radiology, and other clinical services in communities facing significant need.
Beyond financial assistance, the Foundation also invests in the training of local healthcare professionals in modern medical methods and technologies.
In addition, the Foundation supports a range of complementary aid initiatives, including assistance to schools, orphanages, and refugee programs, through funding, materials, education, and community training.
Role Purpose
The Foundation Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of the Foundation's operations, providing support for the delivery of health projects both in Australia and overseas.
The role ensures effective governance support, financial and regulatory compliance, stakeholder communication, and efficient operational processes, enabling the Foundation to achieve its charitable objectives.
Ideal CandidateEssential
Experience in administration, operations, or office management (not-for-profit or health sector desirable)
Have worked within a Sonic Healthcare entity and strong understanding of Sonic's Medical Leadership ethos and values
Strong understanding of governance and compliance in an Australian charity environment
Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work sensitively across cultures and time zones
Proficiency with common office and financial software
Desirable
Experience working with medical, health, or philanthropic organisations
Laboratory and / or medical experience (nursing etc.)
Knowledge of ACNC, DGR, and charitable compliance requirements
Experience supporting Boards or Committees
Comfortable in travelling overseas to 3rd world countries and working with local teams (if required)
Tolerance and understanding of different cultures, faiths, values and living conditions
