    Senior Web Officer - Web & Digital Production

    The Department of Education is seeking a highly-motivated Senior Web Officer to join our Web and Digital Production (WDP) team. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with web designers and developers, managing departmental website upgrades, reviewing web solutions to ensure they meetdepartmental and industry standards, and client and stakeholder management.

    About the Role:

    As a Senior Web Officer responsibilities include, but not limited to;

    • Take the lead on multiple simultaneous web related projects in consultation with clients and key stakeholders to ensure identified business and technical needs are met and delivered within scheduled scope and timeframe.
    • Collaborate with designers, developers and web accessibility experts to assess business requirements, determine schedules and create innovative web solutions that conform with mandatory standards and guidelines.
    • Manage web related activities and projects, including website builds, stakeholder engagement and client management.
    • Delivering web layouts and designs to specifications as required.
    • Working with SharePoint Online and On Premise to create, upgrade and manage departmental websites.
    • Developing strategies for criteria for the testing of website features and functionality and delivering release communications.
    • Taking the lead on multiple simultaneous web related projects to ensure business and technical needs are met and client requested activities are delivered.
    • Assisting management team with the delivery of any future web hosting platform.
    • Undertake specific and ad hoc activities as allocated by the management team.

    Highly desirable skills and experience;

    • Proven ability in coordinating and managing web related activities, time management and working effectively in a team environment.
    • Demonstrated experience with website design review, investigation and problem-solving.
    • Strong self-management skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving design, content and technical challenges.
    • Experience applying the Queensland Government Consistent User Experience and implementing the new Queensland Government Design System.
    • Experience applying WCAG 2.1 AA solutions and implementing UX/UI design principles.
    • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online and On Premise.
    • Demonstrated effective communication for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Effectively forge and maintain strategic working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Contribute to creating a workplace that embraces diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
