    About the Opportunity:

    As a result of department re-organisation, we are currently offering a rewarding opportunity for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join our team of welcoming and knowledgeable HR professionals. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, East Region, this role provides HR support to the region Network, Divisional General Managers & the Senior HR Manager, East Region. It has an operational focus and will deliver a comprehensive, pragmatic, generalist HR service to assist the business achieve its operational and strategic goals.

    Key Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and strengthen manager competency in people management and managing performance.
  • Coach people managers regarding HR practices that are contemporary and effective.
  • Recommend, assist, contribute to the development, and implementation of relevant HR strategies to ensure our people are recognised, developed, retained, rewarded, and utilised most effectively.
  • Support leaders with the development and implementation of organisational structures and people strategies which support the achievement of business targets.
  • Monitor adherence to the Individual Performance Management process and take remedial action where required.
  • Identify employee relations issues and work with managers and the Senior HR Manager (East Region) to develop and execute solutions.
  • Participate in specific HR projects as required.
  • About You:

  • The preferred candidate will have significant relevant experience as a HR Business Partner within a large complex environment, ideally commercial or retail.
  • A strong practical understanding of employment law, and legislative requirements across the geographical area the role supports.
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with an ability to build strong, productive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to managing competing priorities and conflicting deadlines.
  • Business/commercial acumen with proven ability to demonstrate an understanding of business processes, demands, constraints and realities.
  • A desire to work at an operational level, with strategic intent.
  • Experience in Change Management would be highly regarded.
  • Appropriate Human Resources or related tertiary qualifications.
  • Full Australian driver's license with the ability to travel regularly to various locations across Northern NSW and QLD.
