    • Established in 1993, PYBAR, A Metarock Company, has grown to become one of Australia's largest underground hard rock mining contractors operating in multiple states of Australia with a track record in securing repeat business.

    Due to operational growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced fitters to join the team at our MICO Operations, Mt Isa Being a full-time, permanent position, this opportunity is a FIFO, DIDO or residential position and ready for an immediate start.

    The Opportunity

    We are currently looking for experienced underground fitters to join our team at MICO, Mt Isa, QLD. Working autonomously as well as part of a team and ensuring a high quality of work, you will gain and expand your experience and knowledge of underground mining.

    This position will see you working a 14 on, 14 off roster, in a full-time, permanent position, and can be Residential to Mt Isa QLD, FIFO from major cities or DIDO.

    In order to be considered for this position you will need to be able to demonstrate current or previous underground mining experience.

    What you'll need to succeed

  • Trade qualification (essential) - Diesel Fitter trade
  • Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (essential)
  • Experience with CAT, Sandvik and Volvo equipment will be an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
  • A strong focus on safety
  • Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers License
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
