Join a family-owned restaurant in the heart of Gisborne, Victoria, where passion for culinary excellence meets warm hospitality. This venue takes pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences, offering a menu that celebrates locally sourced ingredients and innovative flavors.

As a Chef De Partie, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to uphold the standards of excellence in food preparation and presentation. You will be responsible for a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring that dishes are executed with precision, consistency, and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to develop seasonal menus and daily specials.
Contribute ideas for menu improvements and innovative dish creations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef De Partie or similar role in a reputable kitchen environment.
Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Creativity and passion for food innovation.
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification is preferred.
