    Greencross Bayswater and Kilsyth offer a unique opportunity to work across a large team of supportive vets and nurses. Our combined large and small clinics provide a great mix of cases and workload. We are looking for a passionate surgeon with the desire to mentor our vets in this space.

    Greencross Bayswater and Greencross Kilsyth are a pair of busy general practice clinics located in Eastern Victoria. Greencross Kilsyth is located at the foot of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, an easy 10 minute drive from our Greencross Bayswater store, conveniently located within our local Petbarn. We have a supportive, easy going team striving for a gold-standard clinic experience for both our patients and cohort alike. Both clinics offer in-house blood machines, multiparameter monitoring, dedicated surgical rooms, dedicated dental benches with dental radiography. Both clinics provide access to ultrasonography and radiographs.

    We have a mixed caseload of small animal patients, with the ability to expand out surgical and hospital caseload. We have a strong desire for stress free care, high standards of preventative health and proactive disease management. You will be supported with endless opportunities for continuing education and upskilling.

    Job Description

    We are searching for a vet who enjoys a varied surgical case load, is excited to take on an interest in mentoring our current surgical vets in interesting or unusual cases. Our combination of clinics offers a mix of a larger clinic with a long history of clients as well as a smaller, newly built co-located clinic. This allows our vets to have a variety of work, without losing out on the support of a bigger team.

    The role will include a mix of days across the two clinics and can offer multiple surgical shifts a week.

    The ideal candidate will be excited to join our supportive and meme loving team, be dedicated to high standards of patient care and communication. The position is full time, with a weekday off each week and only one Saturday per month.

    Qualifications

    To seize this opportunity, you should:

    Hold a degree in veterinary medicine, recognisable with the Australasian Veterinary Board Council.
    Possess a passion for animal care and welfare.
    Be a team player with excellent communication skills.
    Be eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
