    This is a newly created role with opportunity to carve out the technical direction of the Quality Practice within ING, leading the efforts to having an industry level of Quality (IT Engineering) best practices across all Tribes within ING Australia.

    This position is responsible for defining, building, and maintaining an industry best practice Quality framework, and Quality Engineering practices in the bank. It includes underlying standards, polices and processes required for the bank to have a best of breed Engineering Quality practice.

    You'll be an enabler of a culture and awareness as to how best practice in Quality Engineering spans requirements, system Development/Engineering and quality domains and will work with peers and the relevant chapter leads to roll out a program of improvements across those domains that result in improved end-to-end quality outcomes.

    What you'll do ...

    • Contribute to the strategy and execution of a software quality practice aligned to the E2E delivery framework.
    • Adopt and steer industry best practice quality framework(s) to ensure both functional and nonfunctional requirements are captured in a way that's supports traceability and leads to quality as part of delivery framework.
    • Enable the technical direction for Quality tooling, frameworks, and processes.
    • Work with Customer Journey (Analyst) and Software Engineering Chapter leads to improve end-end quality processes and outcomes.
    • Work closely with Test Chapter Leads to ensure quality standards, policies and KPIs are met.
    • Collaborate with ING global in standardizing the Quality practice.
    • Ensure vendors provide test services that meet ING standard.

    What we're looking for...

    • Expert knowledge and experience of the full lifecycle of Quality and end-to-end software testing framework design.
    • Experience with working on homogenization of standardized Test Automation frameworks, develop frameworks, define tooling strategy, Mocking and service Virtualization.
    • Strong knowledge of SDLC and technical test leadership in delivery for significant software applications / projects Agile in large organizations.
    • Ability to advocate quality engineering principles, practices, and tools across the organization.
    • Proficient with Azure DevOps. Bonus would be certifications and functional knowledge of one other Cloud service provider such as GCP, AWS.
