    Our largest federal government client is actively seeking two dynamic individuals to join their team as Data Engineers, each offering a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the realm of data engineering.

    • Contract Length: 12 months + 12 months extension available
    • Location: ACT
    • Candidate must be Australian Citizen and hold a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance, NV2 and TSPV preferred.

    As a Data Engineer (SFIA Skill Level 5), you will be immersed in complex challenges, leveraging your expertise to solve intricate problems and drive strategic outcomes. With a focus on building and maintaining data pipelines, as well as fostering strong stakeholder relationships, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing data interoperability and analysis using cutting-edge technologies.

    Data Engineer (SFIA Skill Level 5)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and solve complex data engineering challenges
    • Develop and test data engineering solutions
    • Prepare and advise on requirements, models, and solutions
    • Build and deploy data pipelines and analytical environments
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver tailored recommendations
    • Resolve problems and identify opportunities for improvement

    Essential Requirements:

    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer in large enterprise environments
    • Strong problem-solving skills and experience in complex projects
    • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Languages (Java, Python, etc.)
    • Familiarity with processing and analytics services (Spark, NIFI, etc.)
    • Knowledge of data technologies such as Open-search, Redis, Kafka, etc.

    Data Engineer (SFIA Skill Level 6)

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide strategic analysis and solutions for very complex data challenges
    • Generate and review high-level advice and solutions
    • Lead the development and deployment of data pipelines and models
    • Manage stakeholder relationships and deliver strategic recommendations
    • Analyze problems and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Establish priorities and monitor progress towards corporate outcomes

    Essential Requirements:

    • Extensive experience as a Data Engineer in complex enterprise environments
    • Proven ability to provide strategic advice and lead high-level projects
    • Strong knowledge of data methodologies and systems
    • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Languages and processing services
    • Familiarity with data technologies such as Neo4j, Oracle, Kubernetes, etc.
