As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering and Housekeeping Manager to join our team.

    Position Overview: As the Catering and Housekeeping Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food service within our aged care facility. You will be responsible for overseeing the catering operations and housekeeping staff to ensure the comfort, satisfaction, and well-being of our residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage all aspects of the catering department, including menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery, ensuring compliance with dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
    • Supervise the housekeeping team to maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and hygiene throughout the facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and dining areas.
    • Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping operations.
    • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage budgets to optimize resources and minimize waste.
    • Train, mentor, and motivate catering and housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional service and uphold quality standards.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as nursing and maintenance, to coordinate services and address resident needs and preferences.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards, taking corrective actions as necessary.
    • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to catering and housekeeping activities.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Previous experience in a similar role within the aged care or hospitality industry.
    • Proven leadership abilities with excellent managerial and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and infection control practices.
    • Knowledge of catering and housekeeping best practices and industry standards.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Diploma or degree in hospitality management, food service, or a related field is preferred.
