    About us

    The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.

    About the role

    The ACLS Project Governance and Contract Management team is responsible for the governance, procurement, contract management and financial management for the delivery of ACLS' office accommodation capital works projects on behalf of Victorian Government departments and agencies. The team works in close collaboration with ACLS business areas, agencies, and outsourced providers.

    Key accountabilities include:

    • Negotiate commercial project agreements and contracts on behalf of ACLS, DGS or clients with third-party vendors and monitor third-party vendors for compliance with government policies and standards on quality, methodology, documentation, and governance practices.
    • Undertake project governance of the delivery of multiple capital works projects as allocated so as to meet project objectives of scope, quality, timeliness, budget and client expectations.
    • Manage KPI, benefits realisation tracking and outcome-based contract establishment processes including identifying opportunities to improve outcomes, efficiency and value for money.

    About you

    To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate:

    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in project management, delivery, governance, procurement and contract management.
    • Demonstrated capacity to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders and clients with competing demands to achieve agreed outcomes, with a strong focus on client service delivery and in a manner that identifies opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyse internal and external data inputs from a range of sources to produce meaningful reports, briefs and recommendations.

    Mandatory requirements

    • Tertiary qualifications in business a related discipline, and/or significant experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
    • Qualifications or experience in financial management, procurement, contract management, PRINCE 2 and Managing Successful Programs will be highly regarded.
