    Job Description

    The Payroll officer will run the end to end Payroll function for 350 employees on a fortnightly basis.

    Key areas of responsibility will include:

    • Updating of employee information on the Payroll system (Micropay)
    • Preparation of pay run reports.
    • Processing superannuation, workers compensation, payroll tax.
    • Completing mandatory reporting, both internal and statutory.
    • Assisting Payroll Manager with payroll reporting, including end of month, end of financial year.
    • Distributing payslips and payroll related communication.
    • Interpretation of industrial instruments, including awards and EBA's.
    • Payment and reconciliation of payroll ta, child support, superannuation.

    The Successful Applicant

    The ideal candidate will have experience with the full cycle of payroll processing, including understanding of relevant legislation, payroll tax, superannuation and end of month procedures. Additionally, you will have exposure to using an computerised payroll system, with Micropay or Oracle experience viewed favourably.

    Other key experience/traits include:

    • Accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Experience working with awards, EBA's and other relevant industrial instruments.
    • Excellent time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication.
    • Computer literacy including experience using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
