: Torrens Primary School is a vibrant, colourful P-6 school set in spacious grounds, with three offsite preschools in Chifley, Pearce, and Torrens. We enjoy strong community involvement and support in all aspects of school life. The partnership between school and home is extremely important to develop and foster high academic achievement, meaningful relationships, and a love of learning in our students. Torrens has an enrolment of about 500 students - 88 students in the preschools and around 460 in the primary school.

The Student Service Officer will provide a high standard of customer services, administrative assistance and support to the school including to the executive team and teachers. The position works directly with the school business manager in the day-to-day administrative tasks of the school including recording accurate student attendance data in line with relevant legislative and policy principals, customer service, reception duties, telephone enquiries, general administrative support, receipting and first aid.

Eligibility/Other requirements: Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to -

Highly Desirable:

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

First Aid Certificate or a willingness to undertake appropriate training

Experience in an administration role

Knowledge of school specific software including Sentral
