Job Description

This role is aligned to a team of Claims Assessors and works in partnership with the Link management and technical team.

The role is accountable for coaching and mentoring the aligned Link Claims Assessors through the accreditation framework and management of authorities within TAL's risk framework.

A key focus of this role involves the assessment of claims outside of delegation levels, quality review of claims decisions that have been made within delegation, identification and sourcing of training requirements on an individual and team level, responsibility of overall performance of the claims portfolio within the aligned team and delivery to agreed service targets to ensure TAL is meeting the Business Partner and Customer requirements.

Skills we are looking for:

• Experience in a similar role in the Financial Services/Insurance Industry.
• Demonstrated life, trauma and income protection claims assessment experience.
• Ability to build rapport and empathy with customers during difficult times.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Medical, vocational or rehabilitation background (Desirable).
