    About the role

    Due to ongoing success, we're seeking to add further leadership and engineering capability by appointing a Senior Project Engineer (SPE) from either an Electrical or Civil background to join our projects and infrastructure business.

    This role will work across the full lifecycle of projects; being part of the initial tendering phase and extending into supporting the effective delivery of Projects.

    The role will not only play a key part in the successful securing and delivery of projects but also supports the development of Project Engineers (PEs) who directly report to the SPE role.

    As part of the working across the project lifecycle and working closely with PEs the role will ensure consistent deliverables and outcomes are achieved as well as supporting the continuous improvement of Zinfra's systems and processes.

    Our projects, primarily involving civil, structural and electrical scope, include transmission lines and substations with project values typically ranging between $5 M and $50 M.

    Our projects are delivered in both metro and regional locations so travelling for work may be required.
    Key Responsibilities include
    Scoping, coordinating, and delivering projects from proposal through execution to close out, ensuring technical requirements are being fulfilled, as well as meeting scheduling, budgeting and quality requirements
    Providing overall technical leadership on engineering aspect projects
    Leading and developing a team of PEs to deliver successful project outcomes, while creating a positive and collaborative work culture
    Managing the allocation, utilisation and performance of PEs reporting to the role
    Supporting the development of PEs reporting to the role
    Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers and subcontractors from the bidding phase through to project execution
    Unwavering commitment to delivering projects safely
    About You

    To be selected for interview your resume will need to share details of a tertiary qualification in either Civil or Electrical Engineering with end-to end project delivery experience from a utilities, infrastructure or construction industry.


    Other requirements include:
    A strong understanding of project engineering/design & construct methodologies
    Exceptional service delivery focus working across multidisciplinary projects form small to large scale
    Experience in delivering projects to the highest safety standards while also delivering expected quality, cost and time outcomes.
    Well rounded communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Ability to develop individuals and teams
    Experience with the delivery of Substation or Transmission Line projects is preferred but not essential
