    About the Role

    As a Residential Care Worker, you will provide direct support, care, and guidance to Young People residing in our homes throughout Warrnambool. Our focus is on assisting and supporting young individuals who have faced trauma and may present with high and complex needs.

    This position involves building strong relationships with our residents by teaching life skills and supporting their social and emotional development. Your daily tasks might include cooking meals, taking them to appointments or sports, dropping them off at school, engaging in activities like fishing or arts and crafts, and relaxing with a movie in the afternoon. You will also be responsible for household duties and completing daily case notes.

    This role requires flexibility and adaptability as no two days will be the same. We are looking for individuals who are resilient problem solvers and dedicated to making a positive impact. The position involves working a 24/7 roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

    In this role, you will receive support from a House Supervisor who will guide you, as well as from a dedicated team of professionals including Case Managers, Therapeutic Specialists, and Coordinators. The House Supervisor will provide advice and assistance when needed, while the wider team will offer collaborative support and share their expertise to ensure you have the resources required to succeed.
