    Metso is seeking a motivated, highly technical Service Technician to join our high achieving Service team. This role will play a crucial part in performing and coordinating service activities relating to machines, spares and wears, and providing customers with technical services in conjunction with sales. This challenging role will be based in Henderson but will require frequent site travel.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Provide technical liaison services between customers, product divisions and sales personnel.
  • Provide hands-on mechanical service work in the field to Metso customers.
  • Perform technical evaluations and analyse equipment and machine component failures.
  • Promote products and services to customers
  • Promote the sales of OEM spare parts and wears material components
  • Supervise and oversee Field Service projects on customer sites
  • Complete field machine inspections per global and customer procedures. Escalate questions and analysis to Technical Support and Engineering
  • Prepare post site reports, time sheets and expenses after site visits
  • Support quotation work by providing scope of work, initial planning and costing information
  • Promote Technical Support value add and support Technical Support Teams
  • Support warranty process and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where applicable
  • Trigger maintenance of CRM with Eq. operational information. Link Service Reports to equipment information in the Installed base
  • Identify equipment in the field at the customer site that is not in our installed base, trigger data basic data input into CRM
  • WHO YOU ARE:

  • A Mechanical trade qualification from college or technical school; or three to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience must include at least two years from one or several of the following industries: mining, aggregate or contract crushing
  • Experience with the maintenance of vibrating screens and crushers
  • Basic computer literacy in MS Office – Word and Excel
  • Must have current motor vehicle license and passport.
  • Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests.
  • Must be physically fit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel within short notice.
  • Screen Installation and commissioning testing
  • Complete Metso group Screen commissioning warranty registrations
  • Experience in the usage of databases and MS Project.
