    • Oversee day-to-day operations of a warehouse facility, ensuring efficient functioning of all processes.
    • Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management, storage, and organization.
    • Be part of the WHS Committee and help develop and enforce safety procedures to create a secure working environment for all warehouse staff.
    • Distribution and Fulfillment:
    • Manage the distribution process, including picking, packing, and shipping of orders to customers.
    • Implement efficient workflows for processing orders over the 3 sales channels (B2C, B2B & B2G) integrating with the e-commerce platform and warehouse management system.
    • Help to set up and constantly adjust the picking routes in the most efficient way, increasing picking speed and reducing walking time.
    • Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, meeting quality standards and delivery deadlines.
    • Collaborate supply chain to work with our logistics partners to optimize transportation routes and reduce shipping costs.
    • Collaborate with customer experience with respect to any order edits or occasional returns.
    • Staff Supervision and Training:
    • Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Schedule shifts and allocate resources effectively to meet workload demands.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting accountability and productivity.
    • Develop and monitor KPIs for the warehouse team.
    • Warehouse Automation:
    • Utilize any experience in warehouse automation to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
    • Evaluate and implement automation technologies such as robotics, conveyor systems, and automated storage/retrieval systems.
    • Train staff on the use and maintenance of automated equipment, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
    • Inventory Control and Optimization:
    • Conduct regular inventory audits in collaboration with the production and finance teams to reconcile stock levels and identify discrepancies.
    • Develop strategies to optimize inventory turnover, minimize carrying costs, and reduce obsolete inventory.
    • Implement and monitor inventory tracking systems to provide real-time visibility into stock levels and movement.
    • Lead annual stock take process
    • Quality Assurance:
    • Enforce quality control measures to maintain product integrity throughout the storage and handling process.
    • Monitor product expiration dates and implement FEFO (first expiry, first out) principles to minimize waste.
    • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate reports on warehouse performance metrics such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, making data-driven recommendations to management.
    • Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on warehouse operations and performance.
    Preferable Qualifications and Experience:
    • Proven experience +3 years in warehouse management, preferably in the food manufacturing or distribution industry.
    • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics processes.
    • Strong understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes and experience working with online platforms. Experience with Shopify will be well regarded.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in warehouse automation technologies and systems.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
    • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Recruiting and rostering experience; understanding of employment laws and practical application of managing staff performance.
    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations, as well as food safety standards.
    • Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems.
