    The Opportunity

    We are looking for an OSHC Coordinator extraordinaire to lead the charge at Care for Kids Outside School Hours Care, in the beautiful suburb of New Farm. With easy access to public transport and just a stone's throw away from New Farm Park and James Street, you'll be in the heart of all the action.

    But that's not all—you will be overseeing a program that's bursting with creativity and adventure From before and after school care to vacation programs, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of up to 90 children, all while upholding Catholic community values.

    As our Coordinator, you will be maintaining strong networks across all divisions and stakeholders and bring energy and a welcoming demeanour to all children and parents. You will have the support of an amazing team of Educators, a dedicated management team, and head office staff who are all committed to providing the best quality care for our children.

    We pride ourselves on providing a varied program including arts and craft, sports, cooking, visiting entertainment and excursions. With access to fantastic facilities including an outdoor oval, indoor sports court, adventure playground, and a purpose-built OSHC room, the possibilities for fun and learning are endless

    Hours: 38 hours per week

    Remuneration: $ $41.19 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the delivery of a high quality, inclusive and educational program.
    • Manage day to day operations of the service including staffing, administration and financial management tasks.
    • Provide children with a safe, secure, welcoming and nurturing environment.
    • Work collaboratively within an established team to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.
    • Promote the service within the local community in accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values of Catholic Early EdCare.

    Job Requirements:

    • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines. Please see link for full list:
    • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis
    • Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor of the service.
    • A strong understanding of Childcare legislation including the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards, and My Time Our Place
    • Previous experience in childcare service management
    • Effective computer skills including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred)
    • Proven leadership skills to develop a team of staff.
