    Primary Electrical Design Engineer - Renewable Energy

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a talented Primary Electrical Design Engineer with a strong background in renewable energy, particularly focused on hydrogen production and electrolysis.

    The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimising electrical systems for our cutting-edge projects.

    Key Responsibilities:


    Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for renewable energy projects, with a primary focus on hydrogen production and electrolysis systems.

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions that maximise efficiency and reliability.
    Perform detailed electrical design calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure optimal system performance.
    Utilise industry-standard software tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, and Scatter for modelling, simulation, and analysis.
    Generate technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for electrical systems and components.
    Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate project viability and identify potential risks and opportunities.
    Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy and hydrogen production.

    Qualifications:
    Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical/ Mechanisation Engineering or a related discipline.
    2-3 years of experience in an electrical, maintenance, or reliability engineering role.
    Knowledge of electrical ELV, LV, and HV distribution systems and drive systems.
    Familiarity with electrical protection systems for mobile equipment.
    Experience in high voltage drive, propulsion, and/or onboard distribution systems.
    Mining and heavy mobile equipment and/or autonomous fleet experience is preferred.
    Proficiency in facilitating Defect Elimination (DE), Continuous Improvement (CI), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes.
    Strong conceptual thinking and analytical focus.
    Excellent problem-solving skills and continual improvement focus.
    Knowledge of computer management systems (SAP, MS Office, etc.).
    Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
